The Management Board of Elektrilevi will be renewed as of 1st February
From 1st February, the Management Board of the largest Estonian network company Elektrilevi is renewed. In addition to Jaanus Tiisvend who started as the Chairman of the Board from August, other members of the board of Elektrilevi will be Andres Tõnissaar, Priit Treial and Taavo Randna.
The management structure of the company will change as well, with the view of improving the efficiency of work organization and ensuring a more effective development to strategically important fields.
The main goal of Elektrilevi is to guarantee an electricity network service as reliable as possible, smooth for customers and efficient. “Although the reliability indicators of the electricity network have improved year by year, we surely still have a lot to do, so that we could meet the expectations of our customers. Especially in regard of making the electricity network more weatherproof and smart,” said Jaanus Tiisvend, the Chairman of the Board. “When until now we have paid a lot of attention to replacing regular aerial lines with weatherproof ones, then the biggest challenge in the near future will be the renewal and automation of the cable network in Estonian towns,” added Tiisvend.
By using their competence, Elektrilevi wishes to offer customers and the society effective and professionally managed infrastructure services in a broader sense. For example, Elektrilevi manages the street lighting network in Tallinn and Tartu, and is testing building an open communications network that enables fast internet connection, to the electricity infrastructure.
According to Tiisvend, the composition, management and structure of the organization had to be reviewed in order to meet our customers’ expectations and move towards ambitious goals. “We have reduced management levels, created a more favourable environment for smoother processes and the development of priority areas,” said Tiisvend.
Jaanus Tiisvend, who started as the Chairman of the Board in August last year, has worked at Elektrilevi in various positions connected to asset management and leading people since 1996. Both Andres Tõnissaar, member of the board leading operations field, and Taavo Randna, product and service development field manager have long-term experience in the company. Also Priit Treial, starting as a board member from 1st February as business development field manager has worked at Eesti Energia for 2 years as a leading financial controller and formerly in the company BPT Real Estate as an investment analyst and group controller.
Siret Kegel, the current board member of Elektrilevi will move on to be the board member of the company belonging to Eesti Energia Group, Enefit Solutions, from 1st February.
Elektrilevi is the largest network company in Estonia, which manages approximately 61 000 kilometres of power lines and 24 000 substations. In addition, the company manages 40% of Estonian street lighting points and is piloting building a fast internet connection enabling open communications network to the electricity infrastructure./p>
