Connection for micro-producers (production capacity up to 15 kW)

A micro-producer is an electricity producer with a production capacity of up to 15 kW, suitable for covering the electricity consumption of a household. In addition to consuming high quality electricity, the electricity produced can be sold to a suitable electricity seller.

Connection application with documentation

In order to receive an electricity producer's connection offer, a connection application must be submitted together with additional documents. This can be done via self-service or e-mail. To submit the application by e-mail, send the necessary documents and the completed form to the address [email protected].

On the basis of the connection application, we will prepare a price offer within 30 days.

Signing a connection contract

We will sign a connection contract and begin the construction work required for the connection once the first instalment has been paid.

Commissioning small production equipment

To be able to start using your production equipment, send us a report on how the safety settings of the production equipment are set and a copy of the conformity audit report.

How much does connection cost for a small producer?

The connection fee is determined during the preparation of the connection offer.

If the transmission capacity of the electricity network is not sufficient and needs to be increased, you will also have to pay for the necessary work and equipment and materials.

Steps to connection

We can use the connection application to prepare a quote.

To get a connection offer, submit an application in the self-service. On the basis of the connection application, we will prepare for you a connection offer that includes the expected price of connection.

  • If you are not the owner of the registered immovable, you will need to attach the owner's power of attorney to the application.
  • In the case of co-ownership, the written consent of the co-owner is required.
  • If you want to join the grid as a producer in an apartment or a terraced building, you must include the written consent of the apartment association or all co-owners with your application.   • Connection offers for electricity producers with a capacity of up to 15 kW are issued within 30 days.

    We will sign a connection contract and begin the construction work required for the connection once the first instalment has been paid.

    You have 60 days to review the connection offer. If you accept the terms we will start the construction work after the first instalment of the connection fee has been paid. The size of the first instalment is:

  • 50% of the connection fee, if the total connection fee is up to 6,000 euros.
  • 10% of the connection fee, if the total connection fee is over 6,000 euros.
  • In order to be able to commission the power-generating module, please submit the following documents:

  • A certificate of conformity issued by the installer of the electrical installation or a copy of the conformity audit report verifying the conformity of your electrical installation. See the cases where an audit is necessary »
  • The production equipment may only be used once a new network contract has been concluded (parallel operation with the network and/or the supply of electricity to the grid is not allowed). In order to use the network connection, including transmission and metering of electricity, a network contract is required.

    Once all the necessary documents have been submitted and invoices paid, sign the network contract.
