Once again, the connections of Elektrilevi’s micro-producers set an all-time record in the third quarter
By the end of September, electricity production occurred in Elektrilevi’s network at a total of 14,429 consumption points, of which 6790 involved micro-producers (capacity of up to 15 kW), including 455 users of nano-generating units and 7639 electricity producers (capacity of over 15 kW).
In the third quarter of 2022 (July–September), electricity production was added at 1621 places of consumption (with a total capacity of 52 MW). In 2022, a total of 3800 places of consumption with a capacity of 111.7 MW have been added to Elektrilevi's network (within 9 months, i.e. during the period between January and September).
“The government's decision to allocate 49 million euros to Elektrilevi in the state budget strategy will certainly help speed up the connection to the network of smaller production equipment and lower the prices of connections. In the third quarter, we again saw a record number of electricity producer connections. The highest number of applications was submitted to us in the third week of September, where we received connection applications from almost 650 producers. Starting from the fall, we can see a downward trend in the number of connection applications. We recommend that those interested submit their applications to us during the fall and winter period to be ready for the next sunny period in spring,” commented Mihkel Härm, Chairman of the Board of Elektrilevi.
In the third quarter of 2022, Elektrilevi received 5459 applications for connection from electricity producers, which is 4345 applications more than at the same time last year.
The distribution of the 5459 connection applications submitted in the third quarter is as follows:
The number of connection contracts entered into in the third quarter was 1846. Including:
In the third quarter, network connections were completed for a total of 1830 electricity producers. Including:
